Yesterday I talked about a little trick I learned that helped me to create a pseudo set of hotkeys for Protools. Here are the steps to create your own.
Step 1
- Open up the plugins you want to save.
- Place them in your Protools session where they are kinda out of the way (They'll open up in this spot everytime).
- When you save the New Configuration, it will save all the settings on the plugins, so you don't have to open your unique settings each time.
- Here's another little trick: That little button that says "target button"...if you click that off, you can open multiple plugins at the same time.
Step 2
- Open the Window/Configurations/New Configuration... tab.
Step 3
- Name the New Configuration something radically awesome. Click 'OK'.
Step 4
- To access the Configuration, goto Window/Configurations and scroll to the bottom of the window.
- You can also use the hotkey Ctrl+Alt+J (Cmd+Alt+J on a Mac...I think). That will bring up the Window Configurations window.
Step 5
- Profit.
